Update from Anam Cara House
Congratulations to Anam Cara on receiving some much needed funding from the Department of Health to support respite outcomes for families in need of assistance.  Helen was also pleased to be able to advise that with our assistance in providing 50% of the request for the Vanuatu family, they were able to obtain the remaining 50%.   The Geelong Advertiser will also be running a story on the support provided to the family by Geelong Central Rotary, St John of God Hospital and Anam Cara.

Request from Bethany Community Support
Bethany will be running their annual Family Fun Day fund raiser again this year on Thursday 29 September and have written requesting assistance with running the Barbeque.   This will require some volunteers between 11.00 am and 2:00pm to cook and serve lunch for those attending.  We will need to make a decision on this by Tuesday morning, so if you are able to help out, please let me know via email, particularly if you are not able to make our normal Tuesday morning meeting.
This week will be the final step in finishing our Business Plan, so sharpen your pencils and bring your calculators – ‘cause it’s finance week and we need to draft the budget proposals prior to the Board Meeting on the 19th September.

And lastly…. I wonder if our Secretary will be brave enough to bring along his Hawks cup this week?
